Dear Jens,

thank you for your message!
Well, I am not a well man at the moment.
I can tell what is going on:
I am a dialysis patient at the moment and my nephrologist - also a Gemini - advised me to put my name on the waiting list as soon as possible. That`s the only way to improve the odds of getting a donated kidney - he said.
I need a new kidney. You know that healthy kidneys take wastes out of the blood but leave protein. Mine don`t.
Creatinine is a waste product in the blood created by the normal breakdown of muscle cells during activity. Healthy kidneys take creatinine out of the blood and put it into the urine to leave the body. When the kidneys are not working well, creatinine builds up in the blood.
My kidneys failed completely and the condition is called uremia.

Total or nearly total and permanent kidney failure is called ESRD - End Stage Renal Disease or CKD - Chronic Kidney Disease. If a person’s kidneys stop working completely, the body fills with extra water and waste products. Hands or feet may swell. A person will feel tired and weak because the body needs clean blood to function properly.

Untreated uremia may lead to seizures or coma and will ultimately result in death. A person whose kidneys stop working completely will need to undergo dialysis or kidney transplantation.

I haven`t put my name on the list it yet because I don`t trust anybody and I still hope that my kidneys will soon improve their function. I believe in all Gods and Buddhas of this world and I hope they will help me.
If not - I will have to rethink the whole thing once again.
But I still have my sense of humour, dear Jens!
Drop a line and enjoy your life over there.
Mark

Hello Mark,

I'm fine.
I'm right now in Alabama and enjoy the sun and the beaches, beside work of course.
I work for an aircraft manufacturer. Not as a direct employee, as a contractor.

The last two weeks I was in Las Vegas with some colleagues from here for vacation.
Great city. I had a lot of fun. I think they called it "a blast" or something like this.

How are you? I hope you are fully recovered

I'm looking forward to hear from you

Jens

Hi all,

I would like to introduce myself.
My name is Jens and I'm 35y. old.
I was looking for a good way to improve my English, as I found this site.
By the way, I like the daily mail and cartoons:-))

I wouldn't range my English skills very high, nevertheless, I'm right now in the States to work here for a year.
I will see how it works out:-)

The last days I read some threads and now I decided to be part of the community.

I hope to hear/read from anyone of you and looking forward to your correction of my post:-)))

Hello Jens,

how are you?
What is your profession?
Feel like telling us some more things about you?
See you soon -
Mark
P. S. I was three weeks in hospital and that`s the reason why I am answering a bit late.

That's good:-)

As far as I could read here in the forum, the first recommandation was to writte.
When the counterpart/opposite can understand what I want to say, the first step is done.
Grammar and/or structure shoud be my next goal.
And I promise, I will work on it.

Thanks for your answer and have a nice weekend.
