Did I call it? Diamanda is my absolute favorite! Good to read, that you like her voice, too.
As for the weather the lock of my bike froze and got blocked today. I had to defreeze it with hot water and a few silent curses. Well, the water helped in the end and I could ride home on my bike... tomorrow I'll buy a bus ticket, I think.

wow, what an amazing voice, I didn't know her before, but indeed Diamanda Gála is awsome. Randy Crawford was my favorite singer years ago, still love her.

One of the most touching voices to me is the fabulous voice of Diamanda Galás.
The range of her voice is awsome, she has a classical foundation. It is amazing what she does with her voice, often quite experimental. Some of her songs are even to my ears too shrill, too dark, but in general I like her very much. Her appearances on stage are also very ununsual. On a regular basis I have to listen to some of her songs - my favorites- to her dramatic highs and depths and lyrics. Wow!!!
I seldom find anybody who knows or likes her.
