I have been 3 weeks to the USA. I made a bus round trip through California, Arizona and Nevada with my mom. It was my third time there and my mom's first time.
It was fantastic, the weather was great, we saw beautiful landscapes and met nice and friendly people.
My mom wants to travel to the States again next year she's as fascinated as me.

Hi Renate,
I like the dunes too, but I prefer the dunes in the desert. Last year I walked in the Sahara in Moroc with nomades for two weeks, the year before I lived together with the women in their tents. And this year I enjoyed my holiday in a guest house in a oase. An now I'm waiting for my next holyday...
Best regards
Helga

WHEN BRITONS ARE ON HOLIDAY

As the holiday season came to an end, some pollsters - a poll - Meinungsumfrage - asked Britons how much they enjoyed a break away from home. Most people were satisfied with their holidays, and according to some tabloids - Boulevardpresse - ,which published the results of the poll, "only an occasional cloud obscured the sun".

The main complaints were about delays and traffic jams. Seventy-two per cent of those questioned were annoyed by these. Even more 76 per cent were irritated by the lack of information given about the cause of delays. The things people liked most about going on holiday were being able to enjoy the beauties of nature(90 per cent), just being away from home (89 per cent), spending more time with their partner (89 per cent) and meeting new people (88 per cent).

The tabs - short form of tabloids - findings show that 74 per cent of the adult population have been away from home on holiday for four nights or more during the past three years. One in five take three or more holidays a year. Those who stay at home are mainly the elderly and the less well off. Ninety per cent of professionals and executives have been on holiday in the last three years. Only 56 per cent of unskilled workers have enjoyed their free time.

And you, dear Readers? No money for holiday, either?

Cool
As my friend lives in Basle, I have every second weekend swiss holidays. A beautiful land, nice people and good food....

Otherwise, I spend a lot of weekends in italy - my love, since I was a very litte girl...

Every year we are in february/march in Dubai, the most exciting place in the world. Maybe Las Vegas could be a competitor, regarding new buildings and streets and entertainment.

The holiday season has begun. I haven't planned a holiday yet, because I have too much to do. But there are many places which I would like to visit once again. One place is the dune of Pyla at the west coast of France. Sitting on the dune under the smiling pines and looking at sunset over the ocean... with a glass of champagne:-))

And there are so many places in the world I haven't seen yet.
What do you do on your holiday?

Wishing you a sunny weekend
Renate
