In your hotel room

Receptionist: Here we are. As you can see, there is a mini-bar, an ensuite bathroom, complimentary tea and coffee and a telephone. Just press "0" for an outside line.

You: And is there wireless LAN in this room?

Receptionist: I'm afraid not but we do have a computer lounge on each floor. Yours is just to the right.

You: OK. Thank you. Have you got extra pillows?

Receptionist: Pillows and duvets or blankets are stored in the top of the cupboard. If you have any other questions, just pick up the phone and you will be connected with the reception.

You: Right, thank you very much. I'm leaving the day after tomorrow - could you tell me when I have to check out by?

Receptionist: Check out time is 10.30 am madam.

Phoning the reception

Receptionist: Reception, Mary speaking, how may I help you?

You: Oh, hello, it's Ms Ackermann from Room 289 here. I was wondering what time you serve dinner normally?

Receptionist: Dinner is served every evening from 7.30 pm until 11.00 pm. After that there are snacks available at the bar.

You: That's fine, thank you. Do I need to book or just come along?

Receptionist: You can just come along. No booking is required.

You: Perfect. And could you tell me what time breakfast is served tomorrow?

Receptionist: Of course. During weekdays we serve a buffet breakfast from 6.00 until 9.00 am and at the weekends from 7.30 until 10.00 am.

You: Where is the breakfast room please?

Receptionist: It's in the conservatory next to the reception area.

You: That's lovely, thanks. One more thing: are there any leisure facilities?

Receptionist: Yes, madam. We have a sauna, Jacuzzi and massage room on the lower floor. Otherwise on the top floor there is a fully equipped gym room which is free for all guests to use.

You: Fine. Could I order some extra towels please?

Receptionist: Certainly. How many would you like?

You: Just one bath towel and one hand towel please.

Receptionist: Of course. I'll have them sent up to your room. Was there anything else?

You: No, thanks. That's all. Bye.

Receptionist: Goodbye madam.
